Memories in a Bottle...Chloe Love Story Eau de Parfum

Now that Spring/Summer is approaching I thought I’d write about a scent which takes me back to a special memory the moment I sniff it and in particular works extremely well in warmer weather (which hopefully will be approaching us soon here in the UK!) FYI the bottle was sat at an angle hence the perfume being lopsided haha.

Chloe Love Story is what I wore on my wedding day so no further explanation is really needed in terms of how special this perfume is to me. I chose this because I wanted something elegant, romantic and pretty which worked for a summer’s day and fitted in with the location of our wedding which was in the grounds of a beautiful house with acres of countryside.

The sophisticated design was what captured me first, said to be inspired by the love padlocks on the Ponts de Arts bridge, bringing the sentiment of Parisian romance to the very heart of this fragrance. Our colour scheme was blush and sage (hence the name of my blog!) so this gorgeous glass bottle with the gold and pink detailing fitted perfectly with our surroundings and looked so timelessly beautiful sat on the dressing table of the traditionally classic English room I got ready in.

Chloe has really ticked all the boxes when it comes to creating this stunning full bodied scent. The floral tones of jasmine and orange blossom blend seamlessly with the warm muskiness of neroli and cedar. This really makes for a luxurious, heavenly scent which combines sexiness and elegance all in one.  Usually I am not a person who goes for floral notes in perfume, but for my wedding day I felt it was extremely fitting. The jasmine creates a soft balanced fragrance which evokes the feeling of love and romance, perfect for a wedding day.

In terms of longevity the scent lasted extremely well during what was a very warm day, and that was without re-application (I made sure I doused myself in it before I left for the church ;)!!) Despite that, it’s by no means overpowering or likely to get stuck in people’s throats so to speak! It is delicate and light yet packs a punch. The longer the wear the warmer it gets melting into the skin leaving the scent warm and lingering on the skin for hours. A perfect day to night fragrance.

I suppose I am biased as this was my wedding fragrance but I can see myself always having this in my collection as it is perfectly versatile. I would wear this for all different occasions although spring and summer is where I feel this perfume lends itself, the mixture of light and fresh yet sophisticated sexy. I felt confident and happy wearing this scent and that is exactly what I had hoped for on such a personal, memorable day. I love it!

Chloe Love Story comes in a range of sizes and is available here

Have you tried this fragrance? What is/would be your perfect wedding fragrance?
